MIUI ROM 3.5.17 Changelog Preview

Hello everyone, it’s time for a Changelog preview and this time there are really some changes and new features that I would like to show you. Please have a look at the screenshots bellow. The full changelog will be posted tomorrow as usual on the Changelog page

1. New version of Global Search

2. Apps will be recommened for users entering Market for the first time (Chinese Users)

3. New design of calibration interface of Compass

4. Added support for MP3 format in FM radio recording

There’re also many fixes and optimizations in Video, Gallery, Camera, Notes, Contacts , File Explorer, Music and other modules. Full changelog will be post on Friday as usual.

100,000 Xiaomi Mi2A smartphones sold out in 48 seconds!

Well, this must be a new World record. Can you imagine? 100.000 devices sold out in 48 seconds? I don’t think Apple would ever reach this amount in such little time. We knew that Xioami products are becoming very popular, not only in China but meanwhile all over the world.

Hopefully in 2, 3 years Xiaomi products will be all over the world and who knows, maybe we will find them on our local stores as well. For all that did not see the Mi2 low version called Mi2A yet, here are some details of it.

Vintage Village – MiuiV5 Theme

Today I came across a very cool Theme for Miui V5 (remember Miui V5) and I would like to share it with you guys. The Vintage look always fascinates me and I wish there were many more of there around. The theme it’s free and it was designed by Tanyoung.

MiHome Launcher 2.2.1 released

The MiHome Laucher had just been released and it brings lots of fix and new features. One of the most important fix is the Laggy home screen transition effect that it was really quite annoying after using it for a while. Just keep reading to see the full Changelog.

MIUI ROM 3.4.26 Changelog Preview

Hi everyone, another week is gone and the Miui Changelog preview of this week is already here. There are some new cool new features and lots of changes and fixes which you all will see on tomorrows Changelog. For now this is what I know by now.

1. Slide up/down on the music icon to enable music control panel

2. New design of MIUI Weather (Only for MIUIers in China for now)

3. Added hand-held twilight mode in camera (For Xiaomi phones except M1 and M1S)

4. Added mirror image function in font camera (For Xiaomi phones except M1)

Hi everyone, this is the Miui 3.4.19 Changelog preview of this week and I must say there are some cool features about this version. I hope we will see more on tomorrows Changelog. Just have a look at the screenshots that I’ve posted and enjoy.

Hi everyone, just wanted to quickly show you the Miui changelog preview of this week. The Changelog preview is not that promising as many of you wanted to be but who know what tomorrow will bring us? Well, lets wait and see. For now this is what we were able to find out.

New MIUI Theme Policy

As more and more themes become developed for MIUI, we need to further ensure the copyrights of the designers to continue an environment conducive to both MIUI and the designers. Furthermore, as we are working on a platform to allow international designers to get paid for their theme designs, this new policy will help to protect the designer’s design and instigate more quality themes . To do so, MIUI has decided to change some of the theme policies.

Please note, as of May 1st, the following policy will be fully enforced: All MIUI themes and theme components, in mtz file format, will need to be uploaded onto the MIUI themes (upload via designer.xiaomi.com). Any MIUI theme and theme components (i.e. download from forums, websites or other sources) that does not get uploaded into the MIUI theme apk, can no longer be applied onto the MIUI ROM. To specify, components in an mtz file format can include:

- Theme
- Lockscreen
- Icon
- Font
- Boot animation
- Avatars

If you are a designer and have current themes you want to share after May 1st please sign up for a designer account and upload your themes to the MIUI Themes apk. MIUI is allowing a 1 month transition period (from now to May 1st) for designers to setup this account and upload MIUI themes to designer.xiaomi.com.

Unofficial MIUI V5 for 20 devices!!

After a week’s testing by MIUI Beta Team, MIUI V5 for the following devices developed by MIUI unofficial devs will be released for public today! Just remember that these roms are not fully developed and you my encounter lots of bugs, however you can use it an you may have fun anyways.
